Anne of Green Gables is based on the book written by Lucy Maud Montgomery.  The play accounts the story of Marilla Cuthbert and Matthew Cuthbert,  middle-aged siblings who live together at Green Gables, a farm in Avonlea, Prince Edward Island,  Canada. They decide to adopt a boy as a helper on their farm. Through a series of mishaps, what ends up under their roof is a precocious girl named Anne Shirley.. Being a child of imagination, Anne takes much joy in life, and adapts quickly, thriving in the environment of Prince Edward Island.

“We have a very talented cast,” said Marilyn Lelli, Director. “The students have worked hard to make this a very entertaining performance for patrons of all ages.”
