Catholic Schools Week, the annual celebration of Catholic schools and their contribution to their communities and the nation, will take place January. 25 through January 31. . For more than three decades, the nation’s Catholic schools have spent the last week of January recalling what makes Catholic education special. This year’s theme is "Celebrate Service”
“As Christians, we are called to use our gifts and serve one another,” said Sr. Maureen Burke, principal. “Service is not an option, it is an obligation.”
Sr. Maureen explained that service is at the heart of the curriculum at Regina. “We empower our students to ‘learn, serve and lead’ throughout their four years at the school, and hope that it continues throughout their lives.”
To begin Catholic Schools Week, the Regina High Community will attend Mass.
Several other activities have been planned for the week including a Faculty Appreciation Day, Homeroom Breakfast and a Service Fair. |
