Feature Story:
Miss Regina Smile Collection

Whether from the tap, a fountain or a bottle, we are blessed with an abundance of drinking water in this country. Not so in India and Africa.

Last week Sr. Maryann Gemonani, S.N.D. and Sr. Valerie Sweeney, S.N.D. spoke to theology students about missionary needs in India and Africa. They highlighted the desperate need for clean water. For example, while the Ganges River winds 1,560 miles across the northern part of India, the river is now sick with the pollution of human and industrial waste, and water-borne illness is a terrible factor of Indian life.

This year’s Miss Regina Smile Collection will support the Sisters of Notre Dame  India and Africa Missions. The Miss Smile Collection runs through October 9.

This year’ Miss Smile representatives are:
Freshmen – Qynne Callahan, Mikayla Johnson and Kim Sabuneti
Sophomores – Breana Breckenridge, Bottani Reid, Amira Thomas
