Music Department Presents Spring Concert - "Broadway and More!"

by Stephanie Bukvic

How can you tell when spring is in the air? Could it be the sight of beautiful flowers blooming or is it the smell of fresh cut grass? Maybe it’s the sound of Regina girls singing. Before you know it, the Spring Concert will be here and the many students are working intensely to make sure it’s perfect.  This show will be held Sunday, April 27, at 4:00 in the school auditorium. The performers are proud to say the theme for this year is Broadway and More. Orchestra, Chorale, Showcase, and the choral classes will be performing numbers from a wide variety of Broadway shows including songs from Wicked and The Lion King.  Also featured will be the History of Broadway. Juniors Gabby Capello, Alina Cepulis, Meghan Majercik, and Amanda Majher will be performing duets from some well known shows such as Dr. Seuss’ Seussical.  Junior Mary Rose Dobe will perform a solo from the show Carousel.  Regina welcomes freshman Michelle Wilson who will sing a solo from Les Miserables.  However, Regina now says goodbye to seniors Amy Flaugher, Tanna Mezacapa, Allie Drda, Becki Robards, Kim Clark, Chrissy Body, and Megan Gunsaulus, for this is their final concert.

The cost is only $2.00 and the proceeds will be given to a scholarship in memory of the late Mary Lonsdale. So encourage everyone, young or old, to come see the dynamic performance known as the Regina Spring Concert.
