Clown Ministry Feeds the Less Fortunate

Members of the Regina High School Clown Ministry recently visited St. Philip Neri Hunger Center in Cleveland.  The 40-member troupe raised more than $5,000 for a Thanksgiving luncheon to be served to nearly 400 parishioners and area homeless. Money will also be used to purchase food for a Christmas luncheon. Students were responsible for set up, preparation, and serving and clean-up of the facility.

“Every year our guests at the Wednesday hot meal look forward to the girls from Regina visiting us, and the joyful presence they bring,” said Linda Teare, Director of Catholic Charities, St. Philip Neri, Community Services.

Students were living out their faith by showing compassion to those less fortunate .as they sat and spoke with the lunchtime guests. “The mingling and conversation that the girls have with the guests are invaluable,” said Teare. ”We are grateful for our relationship with Regina High School.”
