The purpose of this program is to empower 9th and 10th grade students who have demonstrated above average academic ability. Acceptance into this program is based on test results of the 8th grade Placement test and subsequent academic achievement in the 9th grade. Students in the scholars program are chosen for select academic programs such as Look Up to Cleveland, Hugh O'Brien Scholarship Program, and Cleveland Club lecture series.
