The Queen's Gate: Regina Legacy Luncheon at Executive Caterer’s at Landerhaven was truly a “Royal” affair! Nearly 400 guests enjoyed the company of friends as they took chances of raffle items and bid on incredible silent auction items. As an added treat, Loreal USA provided shampoo and conditioner for all of our guests. The afternoon continued with a wonderful luncheon and lovely fashion show by Dillard’s. In addition to the Dillard’s fashions, alums modeled several original designs by Meg Murphy ’06, who graduated this spring from the Kent State University School of Fashion Design.
Event emcee, WKYC Channel 3 News Today Anchor, Mark Nolan, entertained us once again and turned that afternoon into a fun, festive occasion.
Sincerest thanks and congratulations to event co-chairs Joan Ward Andersen '76 and Irene Stergar Robards '74, and all of the dedicated committee members for helping make this year’s luncheon a day to remember. Thanks to our generous sponsors and attendees, the net profit for this year’s event was nearly $40,000!
Note:
Many guests have inquired about the beautiful gerbera daisy centerpieces. There were generously donated by Larry Lester, owner of Collectible Hostas. If you are interested in the availability of other garden/nursery products, contact him at 440-477-6911.
