The Classes of 2012 and 2013 are planning a sleepover at Kalahari, in Sandusky, OH. Kalahari is America's largest indoor waterpark! The trip is scheduled for May 13-14, but commitment forms are due now!

Appointed Acting Principal
Sr. Margaret Gorman, SND, has assumed the role of Acting Principal for the 2009-2010 school year. Sr. Margaret is a 1966 graduate of Regina High School. She began her career as a faculty member and Assistant Principal here at Regina.
We welcome back Sr. Margaret and wish her well in this new position!

Mary Hurley Gives First-Hand
Account of Life in Post-Quake Haiti

“Life in Haiti before the January 12th earthquake was filled with misery and poverty,” said Mary Hurley. “The pain and suffering after the earthquake has risen to levels that are unimaginable.”
Ms. Hurley, who volunteers with the Missionaries of Charity founded by Mother Teresa, recently spoke to the Regina High community. She reflected on her 17 years of working with the people of Haiti, including her first-hand account of life after the earthquake.
Class of 2011 Can Get a Jump
on College with SAND Program
The Regina SAND Program (Seniors at Notre Dame) is a unique opportunity available to members of the Regina High school class of 2011. The program enables Regina High juniors to complete their senior high school required courses of Senior English and Government at Notre Dame College. In addition, students will enroll in a full complement of college-level courses.
Seniors Briana Breckenridge, Tay’ler Mingo and Alexandra Skufca have been selected to participate in the Beachwood Art’s Council Juried High School Art Show. They will exhibit artwork featuring the following media: watercolor, charcoal, oil pastels and mixed media.
The Art Show will present the work of students from 23 area high schools.
This is the 15th year for the show, which will take place from February 7 through February 28.
The show will be held at the Beachwood Community Center, 25225 Fairmount Blvd. Exhibit hours will be Monday through Friday from 10 am – 4 pm; Saturday from 10 am – 4 pm; and, Sunday from 11 am – 1 pm.
A Taste of Spring
The Queen's Gate: Regina Legacy Luncheon
Enjoy a lovely spring afternoon with good friends, fine fashions and great food at our Queen's Gate Legacy Luncheon, set for Saturday, March 27 at Landerhaven. Proceeds from the event will benefit both the scholarship fund and the faculty appreciation fund.
The Luncheon Committee is currently collecting silent auction items for the event. Please call Kate Petrovic in the Advancement Office (216-382-2110 x 243) if your company or business is interested in becoming a sponsor or would donate an auction item.
This event attracts more than 400 guests and provides a forum for sponsors to advertise while supporting education at Regina.
Reservations are $48.00. Invitations will be in the mail soon, but start thinking about inviting friends to join you at a table. Students will be selling raffle tickets before the event: $5 each or 6 for $25.
Regina High to Close
at the End of the 2009-2010 School Year
Faced with a steady decline in enrollment and economic pressures, Regina High School announced that it would be closing its doors at the end of the 2009-2010 school year.
