Mississippi Volunteer Trip
Planned for this Summer

The Sisters of Notre Dame and Regina High School are planning a week long service trip to Waveland/Bay St. Louis, Mississippi during the summer of 2009.  The volunteers will assist with Hurricane Katrina rebuilding efforts.  Waveland/Bay St. Louis is one of the many small communities along the coast of Mississippi which sustained extensive damage to homes and property. St. Clare Recovery Center and Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church serve as coordinating agencies for the recovery efforts.

A Mississippi volunteer group is being organized to travel to Waveland/Bay St. Louis to offer services wherever needed in the community.  Women who are high school seniors or juniors, college students, young adults, SND Associates or Sisters of Notre Dame are invited to participate.    The trip is scheduled for June 27 through July 5.
